Hey guys!
So I don't know if you guys know this or not, but I'm involved in a ministry with my Berkeley church that reaches out to local, small youth groups (much like yourselves). What we try to do is offer Apologetics training (like the presentation I showed you last winter break), worldview lessons, connect them with other Christians in the area, and provide college mentors.
How does this apply to you?
Weeeeeellllllllll, we're holding our spring kick-off event on April 17th. It's a FREE event. It'll be a night of praise, worship, and games. But the best part is that our main speaker is Dr. William Lane Craig! William Lane Craig is a famous theologian and Christian leader. He is such a great leader that the world's top atheist leaders are afraid of debating him (because he ends up winning!). (I showed a video on this blog of him.)
He's going to be talking about the Evidence of the Resurrection. It's open to Christians and non-Christians, so that everyone can invite their friends!

It's going to be at 5 pm on a Saturday night. I thought it would be cool if you guys could make a day trip out of it.

for youth kids, so that's from 6-12 grade. :D
very cool. in that case, let's get this into gear. I've been looking for a way to blow some of the YG money. I mean... "use to expand or educate our youth ministry".
hmm... but we're the only ones leaving comments. does that mean our YG is not interested? I wonder if they decided on a Youth Group name yet? Got any suggestions? Last time I checked they came up w/ LiteBrite or some version of it. Sorry... bad memory. Whoa... writing a full entry in the comment box. need to stop typing..

I thought "United Devotion" was pretty cool. but if you shorten it, it might come out to be like "UnDe" (mistakenly pronounced undie); causing a fiasco. anywho... still no interest... i didn't get a chance to share this info w/ the youth group. Pastor Choi and Rebekah are (hospital) sick. Pray Daniel don't get infected... and of course quick recovery for P.Choi and Rebekah. ^^

the "un" prefix might have negative connotations. we want to promote, not discourage. I do like the UniDevo & UDe. oh wait, how about "U-Do" (you do). UD2 (you devote too; you do too). just like the "unity" theme/aspect/feel (having a poor vocab selection moment). side note... this is feeling more like a IM between you and me rather than a blog. our YG is major failing right now. LOL...

doesn't looks like this is going to happen. It's this weekend and there's been no planning involved. It's too soon to put something together, get approved by parents & church. Not to mention, I kind of need the weekends to prep for my wedding. Pastor Choi's planning a Purity (abstinence) seminar for the YG this month. He'll teach the adults and I'm suppose to give one to the YG but don't know what to use or where to get any material on this subject. Anybody got any leads?
